Licensed Psychologist - Postdoctoral Training Director

As an expanding group psychotherapy practice for women, couples, and teen girls, we have an amazing opportunity for a new Postdoc Training Director to both supervise as well as carry a caseload of psychotherapy clients. An especially great candidate will have some interest in somatic therapy, as well as be intrigued by getting trained as an Imago Relationship Therapist. A few more things that we're excited to highlight:

• It would be great if the candidate has previous private practice psychotherapy experience as well as some experience supervising doctoral or postdoctoral level clinicians.
• We've got plans to be an Imago Relationship Therapy "hub," and as such are seeking a candidate who is interested in getting trained in Imago and supporting supervisees in learning and implementing Imago in their couples therapy sessions. • While Balanced Awakening is flourishing as a wonderful place for women & nonbinary folks to receive individual therapy of many different kinds, we're particularly expanding right now in the area of somatic therapy. As such, candidates with any previous experience with somatic therapies (somatic experiencing, hakomi, yoga, EMDR, brainspotting, breath work, etc) could be a wonderful match.

Some logistics about the position:

• This position is full-time, with current responsibilities/time spent supervising 8 trainees, including mostly postdocs, but also 2 advanced practicum students, and 1 art therapist pursuing an LCPC + seeing 15-20 psychotherapy clients per week.
• This is a hybrid position with about 3 in-office days per week coinciding with supervision sessions and in-person clients, and 2 days seeing clients and supporting trainees virtually.
• There is a generous compensation structure based on supervision paid per hour + percentage of revenue generated from client sessions.

$115,000 - $140,000 yearly

• Supervise all current postdocs as well as other trainees as fits with the practice needs and your interests.
• Work closely with Dr. Yang to grow the postdoc program.
• Maintain a caseload of 15-20 ideal psychotherapy clients (caseload could go down as the number of trainees increases).
• Complete notes in a timely manner in our EHR for each client and supervision session.
• Manage your email so that emails are attended to within 48 of your working hours.
• Participate in an hourly quarterly (4x's year) team meeting and enjoy lunch with the team.
• Maintain your license by completing necessary CEUs, engaging in ethical behavior, etc.

• Licensed Psychologist in the state of IL. 
• Supervision experience of doctoral or post-doctoral trainees and a passion for supervising our trainees.
• Experience providing psychotherapy in the private practice setting is a plus.
• An interest in pursuing training in Imago Relationship Therapy.
• A solid basis in more traditional psychotherapy modalities that you'd like to expand on with somatic therapies.
