Growing Medical Facility near Charleston and Jones is looking for additional Licensed Practical Nurses and/or Registered Nurses who are familiar with assessing and carrying out orders for various health-related conditions, as well as promoting good health practices. What we look for most in our Nursing candidates is the ability, willingness, and education to conduct their job duties while overseeing our patients’ health with exceptional customer service. Clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient or hospital setting is vital. You’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills, and communication are important assets to our management. Job Duties:
Must be able to perform head to toe assessments, deliver medications per orders, restraint management, de-escalation techniques, handle verbal, written, and electronic orders from the Providers, work 12-hour shifts, be able to communicate effectively with on-call Provider, be able to handle emergent situations and react appropriately under stress.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and their medical records.
- Report health conditions and illnesses to the corresponding Provider
- Carry out orders from the Provider.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Inform patients about their health conditions.
- Promote good health practices.
- Advance professional knowledge and skills by completing CEUs yearly.
Skills
- 2 years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse in a hospital, ER, or other settings
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Patience and cool headedness
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.
Qualifications
- Valid State of Nevada Nursing License
- Valid CPR Certification
- Current TB results
- Certified in Handle With Care - Willing to obtain training
- Excellent charting knowledge and ability
- Bilingual: a plus
