The duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) are planned and assigned by the Registered Nurse to meet the individualized needs of the resident. The LPN primarily provides support for medication management, treatments, assessments and emergency response needs. Additionally, the LPN may function as a caregiver in providing assistance with activities of daily living. The LPN reports directly to the Registered Nurse and the Director of Nursing. The LPN is licensed in the State of Indiana and shall perform nursing duties in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Licensed Driver in the State of Indiana.
- Experienced in home health care preferred.
