Licensed Optician

Clarity Eyecare is seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, ensuring their vision needs are met. You will also provide exceptional customer service and educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. The position is for full time and we are looking for a long term commitment to grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and lifestyle needs
• Ensure accuracy in taking optical measurements, adjusting, fitting and repairing eyewear
• Adjust frames to achieve optimal comfort and fit for customers
• Using professional knowledge to educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements available to meet their specific lifestyle and visual needs
• Assist patients in selecting a frame that best suits their features and meets their visual needs
• Provide guidance on proper eyewear care, including cleaning and maintenance techniques
• Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses, ensuring accuracy in prescription details
• Verify finished jobs and quality assurance
• Manage the frame board including tracking highest selling frames, removing outdated items and adding new frames keeping in mind patient demographics
• Collaborate with the optometrists to ensure seamless patient care
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology
• Ability to troubleshoot patient concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage optical accounts receivables

Requirements

• Licensed optician
• Minimum of two years of optical and dispensing experience
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong knowledge of optics, anatomy of the eye, and lens options
• Proficiency in using optical equipment for measurements and adjustments
• Experience and knowledge in fitting all types of lenses
