As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with Mental Health conditions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of treatment plans under the guidance of Mental Health Professionals
- Monitoring and documenting patient behaviors and progress
- Providing emotional support and crisis intervention to patients in distress
- Facilitating individual and group counseling sessions
- Assisting with behavior management and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring their effects
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a Mental Health setting or related field
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
- Familiarity with gender issues counseling and trauma-informed care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in individual and group counseling or therapy sessions
- Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for Mental Health disorders
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures related to Mental Health care
