Description
We are seeking Licensed Massage Therapists for our 54th Street location ( there is also availability at 34th)
- You must be able to work 2 days a week OR only want a weekend day. We use a science-based approach to care.
Duties:
- Perform massage therapy techniques to work with patients utilizing massage therapy for health and injury needs.
- Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans taking into account their history.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions
- Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations to identify areas of concern or specific conditions
- Administer various massage techniques such as trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage, orthopedic massage and fascia work.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Skills❤:
- Proficient in pain management techniques to effectively address client discomfort
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology to target specific muscle groups and address underlying issues
- Ability to assess patients' conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficient in deep tissue massage techniques for targeted relief of chronic pain or muscle tightness
- Knowledgeable in acute pain management strategies for clients with acute injuries or conditions
