Medical Massage Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking Massage Therapists who specialize in doing deep, therapeutic work. Excellent anatomy knowledge and people skills are a must. it is important that you are a lifelong learner who with a strong interest in professional development and learning new skills.

Responsibilities:

- Perform patient assessments to determine their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans

- Administer deep tissue massage and myofascial release.

- Apply knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to target specific areas of concern

- Provide pain management and acute pain relief through massage therapy

- Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage therapy and recommend appropriate self-care techniques

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and progress reports

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors or physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care

- Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

- Valid Massage Therapist license or certification

- Proficiency in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology

- Strong knowledge of various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy

- Ability to assess patients' conditions and develop personalized treatment plans

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

- Ability to adapt techniques based on individual client needs and preferences

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $48.00 - $64.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
