$14/hr, 20 hrs/week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school equivalency or higher required.
- One (1) year of basic customer service required.
- Exhibit understanding, patience, and a supportive attitude in working with children and adults.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- While this position does not require regular internet access, there may be times when it is necessary. As a result, basic computer skills are preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Assist Learning Center coordinator with tutor recruitment.
- Tutor students as needed.
- Accept and manage change and maintain flexibility.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Serve library staff, patrons, tutors, parents, and students with tact and integrity.
- Effective interaction and communication with others.
- To train in structured literacy programs.
- Assist other library departments as needed.
- Help prepare intervention materials for tutors and students.
- Keep office materials organized and ready for use by tutors.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attend training sessions that pertain to literacy/department
