Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Level 3 or Level 4 Architectural Designer to support the Facilities Engineering organization in the architectural design of facility projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new program facilitation requirements on site at our Clearfield, Utah location.
In this position you will plan, design, and model new factory construction, new equipment installations, and factory remodels. This position works hand in hand with the Facility Engineers to concept, design, and execute facility capital projects.
Essential Functions:
- Architectural modeling of buildings and equipment
- Construction drawing creation and checking
- Conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, and practicability
- Knowledge of Utah building codes
This position may be filled at the Level 3 Principal Architectural Designer or Level 4 Senior Principal Architectural Designer level based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or PhD; or High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience in designing facilities, equipment, and/or tooling
- Significant number of CAD modeling hours and drafting experience
- Experience with Revit, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar CAD programs
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience; or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 13 years of relevant experience
- Experience in designing facilities, equipment, and/or tooling
- Significant number of CAD modeling hours and drafting experience
- Experience with Revit, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar CAD programs
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specific experience with Revit for building design
- Experience checking models
- Knowledge of Utah Building Code and Regulatory requirements
- Solid modeling experience with NX, CATIA, Solid Works, or similar
- Experience using PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter) to manage configuration of designs and models
- Active DoD Secret clearance with latest investigation within last 6 years

Salary Range: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00Salary Range 2: $95,000.00 - $142,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
