POSITION TITLE: Lending Systems Coordinator

REPORTS TO: VP, Lending Operations

GRADE: 11

DEPARTMENT: Lending

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Hybrid


What success looks like during the first three months

  • Achieve proficiency is Lending Software and Core System so as to assist with necessary connectivity requests.
  • Build out all reporting for tracking Underwriting & Processing in Lending software
  • Achieve proficiency in Lending Software to help in creating more robust reporting for retail & lending on origination trends & auxiliary product tracking cannot be done by business intelligence.
  • Assist with the mortgage project for software implementation and connectivity to Core and or servicers
  • Assist with integration for Open Lending, Visible Equity & Value Check for 2024.
  • Become proficient in validation of HMDA reporting TILA RESPA, and Fair Lending for quality control compliance with Processing/Servicing.


PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to fulfill Financial Center First CU’s vision of inspiring financial wellness. The position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members by supporting and promoting our values to Care, Listen, Learn, Solve, and Act. Primary purpose of the Lending Operations & Data Coordinator is to maintain and advance the critical lending software applications and integrated vendor services that impact members and employees during the loan process. This position maintains accurate up to date reporting, utilizing software and databases regarding the loan portfolios. Assists lending departments with data quality and cleanup when required. The position also assists the VP of Lending with projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Maintain and advance critical lending software applications. Achieve minimal data and system errors

• Maintain integrated vendor services related to lending

• Identify areas for enhancement and opportunity, hands-on development and maintenance, escalated issue/ticket support

• Troubleshoot and support lending software systems and data bases including research and cross department communication

• Lead aspects of required lending analysis and maintenance for data analytics on lending portfolios

• Collect lending data for review, documentation, testing, projects and audits

• Prepare, document and assist in delivery of system updates, training to users and procedural documentation in relation to Lending Systems

• Work with necessary departments to prepare reporting for internal and external regulatory examinations.

• Conducts research and stays up to date with industry trends and changes. Acquires knowledge of new lending processes, regulations, credit union products etc.

• Provide day to day technology support and generals systems management on lending software. This includes troubleshooting, error resolution and coordination of support tickets directly with vendors when necessary.

• Complete complex analytical functions including data management, data mapping, process improvement and enhanced automations.

• Deliver analytical reports/metrics on loan portfolios including but not limited to charge offs, WAIR, trend reporting, migration patterns, production, and other necessary reports as needed

• Ensure knowledge-base stays updated on applicable laws & regulations including TILA, RESPA, and Fair Lending

• Assist VP of Lending with project assistance related to the lending department as required

• Performs other duties commensurate to this position

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Business Intelligence preferred

• 3 Years of financial experience in the Banking or Credit Union industry related to lending & retail.

• 1 year of retail experience working directly with clients/customers

• 2 year of Business Intelligence or data driven analytics/reporting

• Thorough knowledge of Credit Union/Banking loan products and applicable policies and standards within 90 days

• Knowledge and experience with Loan Origination Systems and Core systems. Such as Meridian Link, Keystone, Fiserv, L360 etc.

• Strong desire and willingness to learn new technologies, lending processes, industry

changes, systems, products to improve skills & knowledge

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to be resourceful, perceptive and persuasive when solving problems. Displays, diplomacy, patience and tact when dealing with members and staff

• Detail oriented with ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Good organizational skills. Ability to concentrate, exercise judgement & be a creative thinker, with a tolerance for risk

• Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment

ADA REQUIREMENTS

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger). Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise

Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
