Summary/Objective:
The Lending Services Specialist I works with loan officers, members, underwriters and vendors to process and prepare small business and all types of consumer loans for closing. Perfects collateral liens for small business and consumer loans.
Essential Functions include:- Ensures that applicable disclosures are provided within the required time frame
- Verifies that underwriting conditions and/or stipulations are met
- Obtains and verifies borrower information and documentation
- Orders and reviews appraisals, flood determinations, title commitments and other services from third party vendors
- Prepares loan packages for closing in person as well as electronically; coordinates settlement dates and disburses funds
- Sets up credit files for commercial, consumer, real estate loans, and collateral files when loan has closed
- Reviews vehicle and home equity lien perfection documents'
- Contacts members, dealers, counties/states and other financial institutions to resolve paperwork errors
- Files, tracks, stores and releases titles and deeds
- Completes and finalizes all Lending Services service requests
- Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Required Education and Experience:- Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school

Compensation:The person hired into this position will likely earn between $19.44 and 24.32 per hour, plus annual bonus.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
