Seeking Legislative Assistant for 2024 Legislative Session
Lockridge Grindal Nauen is a medium-sized Minneapolis-based law firm, with the largest contract government relations team in Minnesota. We are seeking a Legislative Assistant to join our team for the 2024 legislative session, starting soon and running through the end of May. We have 10 lobbyists on our St. Paul/Minneapolis team, along with several administrative professionals. Our bipartisan team represents a broad variety of clients at the State Capitol – from large and small businesses, to non-profits and advocacy organizations, to membership trade groups. Our offices are in downtown Minneapolis, although our team traditionally spends most of our time at the State Capitol during the state legislative session. We anticipate this position to be a combination of remote and in-person work.
Job Duties:
· Coordinate team schedule
· Monitor committee meetings and House and Senate floor sessions
· Provide clear, timely, written notes to team members on press conferences, committee meetings, floor sessions, etc.
· Assist with client research as necessary
· Review bill introductions, help manage bill trackers
· Draft written updates for clients as needed

Compensation
· $3,500-$4,500 per month depending on experience
