MUST:
Experienced Intellectual Property Specialist (Patent Filing and Prosecution)
4 to 6 years experience as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal
4 to 6 years experience with Intellectual Property Law (Patents)
2 4 years of recent Patent Filing & Patent Prosecution
Experienced with preparation and filing of new patent applications with the USPTO
Filing of any and all other documents after initial filing with the USPTO
Experience with MyUSPTO, Patent Center, EFS-web, Private PAIR, and other USPTO-related portals and websites
Preparation and e-filing of new patent applications (as new utility filings, new provisional filings, Paris Convention filings, and 371 filings).
Experience with and e-filing of office action responses, IDSs, petitions, issue fees, and other patent prosecution documents
Experience preparing and sending client correspondence, and working with attorneys and staff members to review work and ensure docketing deadlines are highly desirable.
Experience working on IP matters or at an IP boutique are strongly preferred.
DUTIES:
Preparation and filing of new patent applications with the USPTO
Preparation and filing of any and all other documents after initial filing with the USPTO
Support Patent filing and Prosecution groups
Preparing and sending client correspondence and working with attorneys and staff members to review work and ensure docketing deadlines are highly desirable.
Support both domestic and international clients, with a focus on patent prosecution and litigation.
Preparation and e-filing of new patent applications (as new utility filings, new provisional filings, Paris Convention filings, and 371 filings).
