Hollowell, Foster & Herring, P.C., seeks an energetic, organized, experienced, part-time Legal Assistant with at least 4 years’ experience in our Estate Planning/Probate and General Litigation practice areas. This Legal Assistant performs a broad range of administrative and clerical support for multiple attorneys. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, be extremely organized, have a high level of attention to detail, and have excellent proofreading skills. Candidate must be looking for a career and not just a job.
Knowledge, Skills, and Duties:
- Drafting, proofing, and editing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care documents.
- Drafting, proofing, and editing probate documents, including applications, petitions, and related documents and pleadings.
- Inputting accurate raw client data into document creation programs and preparing/proofing initial drafts of estate planning, trust administration, and probate documents for attorney review
- Competently revising documents for attorney review.
- Gathering, reviewing, and organizing data regarding client’s beneficiaries, trustees, asset information, and other relevant information.
- Sending and tracking correspondence related to trust and probate administration process to clients, advisors, and financial institutions.
- Maintaining electronic and hardcopy files.
- Exhibit compassion and patience with dealing with clients.
- Extensive client contact – handling client calls, questions, and inquiries.
Experience with:
- Calendaring of due dates and deadlines.
- Client contact.
- Electronic filing and recording of documents.
- Probate filings and process.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
