We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This employee will provide essential support to our attorneys and help ensure the smooth operation of our legal department. Duties:
- Assist attorneys with document review, organization, and management
- Trial preparation
- Discovery, file organization, and filing of court documents
- Maintain case files and ensure all documents are properly filed and organized
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys
- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a paralegal assistant or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus
