Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Spanish speakingLegal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to our legal team and assist with various legal tasks. ```Duties```
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as i-601a and i-601 waivers, consular processing, pleadings, etc.
- Conduct legal research
- Draft correspondence and maintain communication with clients, government counsel, and court personnel
- File and organize legal documents, both electronically and in hard copy
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys
- Prepare materials for trial or hearings, including exhibits and witness lists
- Assist with trial preparation
- Conduct client interviews and gather relevant information for cases
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred, but not necessary
- Some knowledge of immigration law, legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in drafting and document preparation
- Familiarity with legal research tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
