Job Description
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Prepare and proofread records of governmental and financial filings.
- Draft correspondence, memos, and legal documents.
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist with preparing annual reports.
- Assist with meeting coordination, including the annual stockholders meeting and shareholders day.
- Update the company’s internet and intranet sites.
- Maintain records of the company’s trademark portfolio.
- Other administrative functions such as processing legal invoices and expense reports, handling telephone communications, and processing mail.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis and other online research tools.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Interest or prior experience in the legal field helpful.
- Must commit to the role for six months, from January 2024 – June 2024.
