This role will be based out of our corporate satellite office in Kansas City, MO (Briarcliff area), and will perform a variety of duties to support our legal department. Specific areas of focus will include real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, insurance, contract lifecycle management, and preparation of standard agreements such as NDAs, waivers, and contracts with vendors and customers. Responsibilities: • Populate and ensure the accuracy of standard agreements such as waivers, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor and customer agreements. • Assist with the management of the company’s real and intellectual property portfolios. • Collect and collate information required for insurance renewals. • Track and complete required corporate documents and filings in multiple jurisdictions. • Assist with preparing and disseminating company policies, including updates and tracking compliance activities. • Assist with other matters as requested by the attorney, including a broad variety of administrative tasks. • Maintain databases of legal documents, filings, and executed agreements. • Communicate with both internal and external parties as needed regarding the status of various matters. • Collaborate with members of the Legal team as well as those of other departments to develop and maintain procedures for managing legal and legal-adjacent processes and projects. • Perform general clerical and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Command of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. (Competency in MS Access, OneNote, and PowerPoint optional; MS Excel, Outlook, and Word are core competencies). • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience. • Demonstrated strength in attention to detail and accuracy in work product. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Demonstrated ability to multitask and to communicate accurately regarding progress toward varied deliverables in an environment of competing priorities. Preferred Qualifications: We are open to considering candidates for this position across a broad range of prior experience levels. The level of responsibility conferred, and the level of compensation offered will reflect an applicant’s role” within reason. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience within either a law firm or in-house corporate team working within the areas of focus noted above. Compensation: $55,000 yearly
