The ideal candidate will have litigation experience.
Under the leadership of the Legal Administrative Support Manager, this position will be the vital link between attorneys, clients, and the support staff at our firm. You'll craft legal documents, engage with clients, and maintain seamless collaboration across the office, ensuring deadlines are met and confidentiality is upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Produces, edits and formats correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, reports and other legal documents in a timely manner utilizing computers, transcription equipment and other office equipment.
- Establishes and maintains calendar and deadline reminder systems; utilizes the Firms centralized docketing and calendar systems.
- E-files documents in Federal and State courts.
- Requests conflict of interest reports with appropriate departments, opens new clients and/or matters, and maintains all client and general files. Conducts periodic reviews for possible storage of older files; and prepares and files to be closed.
- Manages attorney calendars, schedules appointments and coordinates travel arrangements.
- Collaborates with administrative support staff (document production, receptionists, business office, etc.); proofs documents returned from document production; and ensures that attorney timesheets are entered and released into the billing time system in a timely manner.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate degree is preferred.
- At least two years of legal experience is required. Litigation experience preferred.
