Texas A&M University-San Antonio seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track English Composition lecturer. This position will begin in Fall 2024 and will have a base 5/5 teaching load with responsibilities for teaching First-Year Composition courses. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed. Successful candidates will be expected to teach Dual Credit / Early College High School students enrolled in compositions. Successful candidates may also be asked to teach Integrated Reading and Writing courses.
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in English, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution
A minimum of 18 graduate hours in English
A minimum of one (1) year of college or university teaching experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience teaching composition and integrated reading and writing
Experience teaching dual credit courses and/or experience teaching at a high school
Experience teaching non-traditional, first-generation students
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios
A Ph.D. in English, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution

If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
