Real Estate Investment Trust looking for a part-time Benefits Leave Specialist.
Job Type: Contract, 6-months with possible extension
Hours/Schedule: 30 hours per week; flexible schedule and setup during business hours.
Location Requirements: Company office in Boston; hybrid preferred w/some days in office, remote options available but candidates must reside in the Boston metro or Washington, DC metro areas
Rate: TBD, based on experience
Job Description: Reports to Human Resources. Responsible for overseeing leave of absence program.
Responsibilities:
- Administers all leave of absence programs
- Serves as point of contact for all leave-related inquires from employees and managers
- Handles intake of leave requests, sends required notices and forms, and determines employee eligibility
- Oversees the return-to-work process
- Maintains up-to-date, accurate leave records in leave database
- Creates and updates leave schedule for each employee on leave and provides reporting, schedules, and updates to Payroll
- Reviews timecards for employees on leave (TRSS enters time)
- Provides timely updates to Managers and HR Business Advisors
- Orders and tracks parental leave baby gifts
- Manages ADA accommodations and updates accommodation spreadsheet
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws
- Coordinates with Risk Management and Managers on Worker’s Compensation incident & claims
- Maintains confidentiality of employee information
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in HR/Benefits (min of 3 years of experience)
- Access database experience a plus
- General knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, Health & Wellness plans
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communicator
