Leasing Specialist

We are seeking a talented Leasing Specialist to join our team! The role of the Leasing Specialist is to assure that the company’s interests are met in terms of occupancy rate, renewals, prospects, and positive resident relations. The Leasing Specialist has a direct, positive influence on prospects and residents in their desire to rent or renew with the community. This role requires the ability to fully embrace the company culture. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy sales, show creativity, and will have a high degree of professionalism when working with our residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria
- Assist in planning resident functions.
- Maintain open communication with the Property Manager.
- Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits. Listen to resident requests, concerns, and comments. 
- Assist management team with other various tasks as required.
- Conduct market surveys and shop competitive communities.
- Participate in outreach marketing activities on a regular basis to obtain prospective residents.
- Maintain compliance with Fair Housing requirements and all applicable laws, codes, and ordinances.
- Monitor advertising effectiveness.  Gather information about market competition in the area and file.

Essential Job Functions:

- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Google Suite
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation
- 2-5 years -experience in previous relevant customer service.
- Neat, clean, and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community.
- Demonstrate the ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
- BA/BS required, or equivalent in education and experience
- Real Page, OneSite, Lead2Lase, experience a plus
