What we are hiring for:
New Land Enterprises is hiring a LEASING SPECIALIST. The Leasing Specialist will focus on attracting new residents, providing tours of the properties and assisting with resident retention by promoting positive resident relations and helping to organize community events. This position requires excellent communication skills, unparalleled attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills. We are looking for someone who is excited to be a part of the incredible growth Milwaukee is experiencing and can effectively communicate that excitement about Milwaukee to prospective residents.
Requirements:
- Prior property management or leasing experience is preferred, prior relevant hospitality/customer service/sales experience required
- Enjoy and take pride in providing an unparalleled customer service experience--warm, friendly, professional and helpful in person, over the phone and via email
- Excellent communication skills, active listening and the ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships
- Must be reliable, honest, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible and accepting of change
- Positive attitude and pleasant personality
- Ability to work well independently, as well as with the property management team
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends
- Proficient operating computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience operating Property Management Systems such as Appfolio, Yardi or Entrata preferred
- Experience operating standard office equipment
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Becoming very knowledgeable on apartment communities and marketing individual features, amenities and the neighborhoods
- Professionally answering questions from current and prospective renters about availability, pricing, amenities, or other concerns
- Offering outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents
- Conducting tours of apartments to prospective renters
- Processing completed rental applications and drafting leases in accordance to Fair Housing Laws
- Preparing welcome packets for new renters
- Ensuring all lease documents for prospective residents are processed, entered and filed accurately
- Conducting move in and move out inspections
- Entering work orders for items that need attention
- Working with the Maintenance Department to address maintenance concerns and to ensure units are ready for re-rental
- Advertising upcoming vacancies accordingly on all online marketing sites
- Making sure the vacancy report is accurate and up to date on a daily basis
- Assisting the Property Manager to set new rental and renewal rates
- Conducting Market Studies
Compensation and benefits:
- We offer competitive hourly rates and commissions for all signed leases. Our ever-growing portfolio offers plenty of opportunities for earning commissions, as well as potential for growth within the company.

- Hours per week: ~40
- Work hours: 9am-6pm during the week, weekend hours required and a schedule rotation will be determined
