Leasing Agent/Property Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team! As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective and current tenants have the best possible experience while leasing at our property. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, conducting property tours, and ensuring all leasing paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently. This position has the opportunity for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct property tours for prospective residents and provide detailed information about the property features, amenities, and lease terms
• Assist prospective and current residents with the application process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leasing activities, including tenant information, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out inspections.
• Assist in maintaining the organization and efficiency of the office.
• Conduct cleanliness inspections as necessary
• Collaborate with both the property manager and assistant property manager to ensure prompt resolution of tenant issues or concerns
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and strategies to attract potential tenants
• Conduct market research to stay informed about rental rates, competitor properties, and industry trends
• Assist in the planning and execution of property activities and events
• Maintain Fair Housing Laws to ensure compliance of necessary regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Previous experience in property management, or high-level customer service role preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required
• Excellent phone etiquette required
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in data entry and record keeping using property management software
• Receptive to direction and learning new skills
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to property leasing (FHA, HUD, ITL) preferred
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Compliance with all affiliated university (BYU-Idaho) standards and expectations is a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.25 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
