Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE  

 

**This is a Remote Opportunity**

 

This position is responsible for leading the design and delivery of enterprise learning and organization development  interventions and leading the design and content build of multiple Learning Modules (scalable, online). This position will  lead the initial consultation, determine an appropriate solution, and implement that solution in support of projects  aligned with strategic and operational goals. 

The Consultant analyzes complex situations, using consultative skills, available data, and assessments. Identifies key  organizational issues and applies the appropriate solution to improve performance, support continuous improvement,  and support cultural goals. The Consultant leads multi-phase and multi-level interventions which include simultaneous  approaches such as organizational design, whole systems change, process consultation, and executive coaching. 

This position is principally accountable for leading the development and delivery of high quality tools and initiatives that create maximum impact and grow individual and organizational capabilities and help the business succeed. 

As an internal Learning and OD resource, the Consultant develops relationships with multiple stakeholders including  executives, assesses needs and collaborates with team members to identify, design and deliver scalable learning solutions. Additional responsibilities include standardizing processes and designing and delivering enterprise learning  solutions. 

 

 


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Required Education and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development,  Organizational Psychology, Education, or related field or four years of additional experience as a practitioner experience is  required 

Master’s Degree in related field is highly preferred.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION  

Five (5) – seven (7) years of learning and organizational  development related experience in a large, multi-site,  geographically dispersed organization.  

Prior external or internal consulting, individual assessment,  engagement, organization design and organization  development, performance improvement, whole systems or  large scale change, measurement and analysis background is  highly preferred.


Required Licensure and Certifications
Certifications in leadership development/teaching, coaching, change,  individual and organizational assessment, and other related programs  is preferred. Examples include Crucial Conversations, Myers-Briggs  Type Indicator, Birkman Assessment, KornFerry Voices 360  Assessment.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

  • Demonstrated organization development skills with the ability to transfer the skill to others and sustain OD efforts. OD may  include organization design, change leadership, centralization,  formation of a new function or department, and executive  coaching. 
  • Able to access, research, and recommend client solutions from  the L&OD standardized offerings (OD and online curricula, courses, and learning modules) 
  • Able to generate Learning Management System reports for  L&OD internal and project related needs. 
  • Demonstrated experience preparing the outline and  appropriate content depth and breadth, for the intended  audience, for scalable online learning courses with multiple  learning modules. 
  • By project, proactively identifies and recommends the  retirement of redundant offerings and improvements to  current offerings based on measurable effectiveness and  feedback. 
  • Able to diagnose why a team is not performing up to  expectations, conduct a root cause analysis, and identify key  opportunities and solutions. Able to lead the design and  implementation of a complex, multi-phase OD solution. Able to  manage multiple stakeholders and multiple levels of  intervention simultaneously. 
  • Advanced consultative skills able to adapt to a variety of  audiences including executives, physicians, business and other formal and informal leaders. Able to contract successfully with  stakeholders to ensure buy in and ownership. 
  • Able to partner with HR leaders to design enterprise-wide  solutions that meet current business needs and build future  capacity. 
  • Ability to inspire action among diverse population with multiple  perspectives without direct authority; handle resistance and  conflict constructively.  
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary in order to collaborate  with all levels of the organization and operate across a diverse  health care delivery environment. This consultant supports  relationship building between all program constituents. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, give and receive feedback to  and from all levels or the organization in a manner consistent  with our Mission and Values. 
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate the resolution of conflict  across departments or stakeholder groups within politically  charged or high-stake environments. 
  • Project management skills required to support program design  and implementation across the enterprise. Must be able to  manage risk and ambiguity, define scope, and manage multiple  priorities and client expectations to meet program objectives. 
  • Business acumen, systems thinker; understands how talent  enables business to grow and achieve goals. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  required. Must be able to translate complex concepts and  problems into verbal and written presentations.  
  • Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office  applications, and experience with delivering virtual learning  events.
