- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the LMS including site design and interface, managing the implementation of eLearning content, building and running reports, configuring user roles, permissions, and course structures, and conducting routine system audits to promptly identify and resolve issues.
- Serves as the SME regarding learning system configurations and integrations, liaising with internal teams and third party vendors as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Keeps up with industry trends and education technologies, introducing enhancements to the Redwood University program on a regular basis.
- Establishes technical standards for the LMS and related learning systems including new implementations (e.g., data migrations, integrations, APIs, and more).
- Owns and manages all LMS inquiries, resolving functional issues within the system, answering questions from stakeholders, providing user support, and addressing simple to complex issues that demand a deeper understanding of the LMS functions.
- Supports the Customer Education team by providing input regarding the structure and implementation of courses, assessments and certifications, and promotes the overall growth and scalability of Redwood University.
- Negotiates and maintains relationships with all learning system vendors, conducting RFPs for new tools and platforms when needed, and partnering with each CSM to guarantee all systems are up-to-date and maximally utilized.
- Maintains all learning system documentation, ensuring that essential information is readily available for reference and troubleshooting.
- Analyzes usage trends and prescribes recommendations on ways to fully optimize systems to accomplish business goals.
- Owns all aspects of user management, including access requests, validation, auditing, and scaling processes to improve how we provide Redwood University access to customers and employees.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Educational Technology or other related fields.
- 4-5 years of Learning Management System Administration experience in a corporate training environment (Skilljar LMS experience a strong plus).
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS for customization and interface improvements; JavaScript a strong plus.
- Experience with integrations of enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Credly, Zoom, etc.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Adept at streamlining manual processes, supporting and maintaining technology platforms, and troubleshooting customer issues in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Passion for learning and staying updated with industry trends in e-learning and LMS technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Superior project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills including proven ability to collaborate with teams and individuals at all organizational levels and global regions.
- Familiarity with e-learning standards, such as SCORM, AICC, cmi5, xAPI.
- Prior experience in conducting user training and support.
- Project Management experience and/or certifications.
- Solid understanding of learning and development principles.
