Job Description
Job Title:Learning Designer
Pay Rate: $40-$60/hr.
Start Date: 11/13/2023 (40 hours/week)
Length of Contract: 1 month (potential to extend)
Key Responsibilities:
· Gathers and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data critical to solutions development.
· Designs and develops learning solutions to drive business performance.
· Adheres to instructional design and development standards.
· Executes against agreed-upon deadlines and milestones.
· Elevates risks that impact timelines.
· Partners with L&D team, SMEs, and vendors on instructional design standards and adult learning principles.
Required Qualifications:
· Experience with instructional design authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere a must, Articulate, etc.).
· High school diploma and 3+ years demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning theory; instructional design (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) OR Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field and 0-1 years demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning theory; instructional design (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
· Ability to effectively communicate and respond situationally/appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with multiple design modalities (e-learning, classroom, virtual, gamification, etc.).
· Related industry certifications or credentials (e.g., PHR, ATD Certifications).
· Experience designing solutions for a large geographically dispersed workforce.
Scope for Request:
· This is fully remote, plan 2 interview rounds.
· Top skills include Adobe Premiere for video editing, ability to write key learning points (the what/why of the task), and excellent question writing.
· We use an Axonify methodology (question to teach knowledge, not test knowledge) for which I can provide - it's straightforward for any ID who knows how to write good questions.
· Video, job aids, and question writing pertaining to systems and associates' expectations with the system.
· Potential for extension, the project has been a moving target.
