Vertex Professional Services (VPS) is looking for an early career Learning and Development Training Integrator in the East Hartford and Middletown, Connecticut areas. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and coordinate the planning and execution of training and other related projects. Assists in other administrative and logistics tasks associated with training programs. Coordinates and tracks participation in outside training activities. May coordinate or administer skill or competency assessments, career counseling, outplacement, and other specialized training or development programs.

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and coordinate the planning and execution of training and other related projects. Assists in other administrative and logistics tasks associated with training programs. Coordinates and tracks participation in outside training activities. May coordinate or administer skill or competency assessments, career counseling, outplacement, and other specialized training or development programs.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with clients to identify and gain consensus on requirements, clearly define scope and deliverables.
- Provide intake support for new work and assist with developing scope, schedule
- Identify needed resources and detail key program objectives and milestones
- Assist with program design, supporting system(s) configuration, and application testing
- Maintain Program SharePoint sites
- Create and maintain all program related documentation (program overview guides, internal and external job aids, FAQ/Q&A, notifications & email templates)
- Work within data privacy and other finance/communications guidelines as needed to ensure proper protocols are followed
- Conduct in-person and virtual (Zoom/WebEx) meetings and support the facilitation of classes/events
- Flow Training/supporting information and or content to Covalent for upload
- Provide recurring out brief, lessons learned, status updates, of Covalent implementation to business units for organizational learning, continuous improvement.
- Identify and support implementation of process improvements
Required Skills:
- Minimum two years of professional experience supporting learning and project coordination in a customer facing environment
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word examples include:
- Experience analyzing data to generate reports, summarize results, identify trends, identify problems, and suggest solutions
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to present the results of analysis in a clear way to influence stakeholders
- Able to use formulas, and generate pivot tables, charts, and graphs in Excel
- Proactive, a self-starter with effective teaming skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting business project management and execution in a customer-facing environment
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate and resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal business communication skills
- The ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Knowledge of learning and development industry, training/program administration, and classroom/event (virtual /in person) logistics
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Business Management, or related field
