As our Lead/Manager FTR Administration, you will be responsible for timely execution and analysis of all activities related to FTR (Financial Transmission Rights) market administration. MISO’s FTR market has an annual total revenue over $1 billion that provides congestion hedging for the MISO market.
As the Lead/Manager FTR Administration, you will be part of the team that oftentimes interacts with various leadership levels. You will work alongside Day Ahead and Forward Market Advisors, interacting with R&D, market design and support teams on market and operations enhancements. Additionally, since there is a large volume of financial transactions dependent on our team’s processes; efficiency, automation, and risk reduction make for good stewardship of our members money.
You will also have the opportunity to lead a team with a primary focus for people development. You will evaluate the current processes with the team and determine the next steps toward product evolution.
In one year as our Lead/Manager FTR Administration, you will know you were successful if are able to instill a product mentality vs a project mentality in the team. Development plans for team members are created, linked to goals, and metrics are being created for team success.
We are looking for hardworking professionals who have:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Economics, Finance, Business, or related technical field (or 7- 10 years relevant work experience equivalency)
• Minimum of eight years of experience in electric system operations, market operations, market administration, and/or operational analytics
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience
We would also prefer candidates with the following:
• People development experience
• Project Management / organizational skills
• Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or Economics
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
