Job description:
- Design, implement, integrate, and verify software to control and configure both existing Wireless Access Points (cWAP) and new Wireless Access Point (xWAP) using interfaces currently supported and ones that will be supported in the future. (REST, SSH, SNMP, CLI, Web UI)
- Design, implement, integrate, and verify software to configure both existing and new Wireless Access Points (cWAP and xWAP) to support Passpoint authentication using preinstalled profiles and credentials on client devices.
- Design, implement, integrate, and verify software to configure both existing and new Wireless Access Points (cWAP and xWAP) to support 802.1x authentication supporting EAP-SIM, EAP-AKA, EAP-TLS, and EAP-TTLS protocols as well as open authentication.
Job responsibilities:
Work with the Engineering Connectivity team to analyze the current architecture of the airborne and the ground software ecosystem.
Work with PAC Software Engineering Connectivity team in the design, implementation, testing of Proof-of-Concepts, Feature Requests, and other bug fixes.
Develop and automated unit test cases in compliance with documented PAC methodologies.
Develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines in compliance with documented PAC methodologies supporting auto-ci jobs and static code analysis.
Document the design, development and testing considerations that were used and publish these on PAC maintained Confluence spaces and pages.
Conduct design and code review (including unit test and pipelines) sessions with PAC technical team.
Participate in the sprint demo or equivalent mechanism to regularly demonstrate the work completed during each sprint.
Work and collaborate closely with PAC Team as per the current documented Software Development methodologies such as Agile/SAFe and related activities such as PI Planning/Execution.
Work and collaborate closely with PAC Management team and scrum team leads to review the deliverables, timelines and risks set forth herein, as required.
Must have skills:
- 5 years of experience in Software Development using C/C (versions 14 or 17) under Linux OS
- 3 years of experience in Software Development using networking protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP/SNMP/DHCP/DNS and VLANs
- 3 years of experience in Software Development of Wireless LAN authentication and authorization protocols such as Passpoint, 802.1x (EAP-SIM, EAP-AKA, EAP-TLS, and EAP-TTLS) and HotSpot 2.0
- 3 years of experience in Software Development and utilization of AAA servers such as RADIUS.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum ceremonies
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
Nice to have skills:
- Experience in Software Development and utilization of 3GPP Network profiles including ANQP and H2QP advertisement profiles.
- Experience in Software Development of Wireless LAN protocols 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and 802.11ax protocols.
- Experience in Software Development of Wireless LAN security protocol 802.11i
- Experience in Avionics industry with IFEC products
- Experience with PUB/SUB IPC architecture
- Experience with 5G, LTE, 3G, GSM, CDMA, GPRS protocols and other Telecom technologies
