We are looking for optimistic, fun, loving, skilled infant / toddler Lead Teachers to support our amazing students and families.
We are currently filling 2 brand new infant / toddler classrooms and one twos classroom, one threes classroom and a preK classroom as our center reopens as soon as September.
POSITON AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Implementing Curriculum:
· Helping to set up learning centers and facilitating learning throughout the day with individuals, small and large groups.
· Engaging in developmentally appropriate interactions with children, such as playing, talking, reading, singing, building, etc., supporting and extending their work.
· Cultivating children’s social and emotional development alongside their cognitive and physical growth; loving care is the curriculum.
· Collaborating with other Teachers on curriculum development and attending collaborative team meetings and participating in organization of a weekly plan that may be submitted to the Educational Director if requested.
· Documenting the experiences of your children via pics/videos and note-taking, reflections on ProCare or Brightwheel;
· The production of at least one newsletter at least every 6 months, but not more than monthly, if asked for by administration.
· Participating in and engaging in professional development available through the school and as required by the DOH.
Documentation and Writing:
· Assist in organizing portfolios of children’s work via our online apps or old-school via bulletin boards.
· Contributing notes, observations, and sharing upon request for Parent/Teacher conferences
Parent Communication and Involvement:
· Cultivating an excellent rapport with parents via appropriate and professional communication
· Attending Parent/Teacher conferences (and other parent meetings as they arise throughout the year) as needed
· Always being mindful that parents satisfaction is vital to the school’s success, while also understanding that your admin will support you 100% to meet the best interests of the children under your care.
Communication and Meetings with Team and Administration:
· Attending staff meetings.
· Actively checking and responding to correspondence from team, administration, and parents within 24 hours.
COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT
Should you determine that you are interested in this position and would like to commence employment with the Center, your start date will be as soon as possible after you have completed the required Criminal Background Check and Mandated Health Inventory.
90 DAY EVALUATION PROGRAM
The 90 day probationary period is a period of adjustment. Probation provides you with an opportunity to learn about our program and about the specific responsibilities of a given job. At the same time, the probationary period gives your Supervisor an opportunity to observe how quickly you learn work procedures and routines, how well you fit in our culture and along with co-workers, and how long it takes you to reach daily work standards. You will provided a formal performance evaluation prior to the end of the 90 days by your direct Supervisor.
COMPENSATION
As a Full Time teacher, Upon your acceptance of this offer, you will be employed as a salaried Employee with estimated compensation of between $30,000 and $45,000 annually before taxes any other deductions, commensurate with your skills and experience. Your salary will be paid in installments on the Center’s bi- monthly pay schedule (26 pay periods per year) which are paid out every other Friday of each month. You will be paid via Direct Deposits. In the event that a regularly scheduled payday falls on a Center holiday, you will generally be paid on the last business day prior to the regularly scheduled payday.
WORK HOURS
Generally, we expect your schedule to be between 7am and 6pm, Monday-Friday which includes an unpaid hour for lunch, totaling 40 hours per week.
