Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational curriculum for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Teach literacy skills, including reading, writing, and language development
- Plan and conduct engaging and interactive lessons that promote learning and creativity
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or minimum of 5 years consecutive work experience with relevant MSDE Preschool Teacher Qaulification
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills, including behavior management techniques
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
Skills:
- Educate: Ability to provide instruction and guidance to young children in an educational setting.
- Literacy education: Knowledge of teaching reading, writing, and language development skills to preschoolers.
- Toddler care: Experience in caring for and meeting the needs of toddlers.
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and organized learning environment.
- Behavior management: Skill in managing student behavior and promoting positive behavior choices.
- Daycare: Understanding of the unique needs of children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Lesson planning: Proficiency in developing lesson plans that align with educational objectives.
- Experience working with students: Previous experience working directly with young children in an educational setting.
- Childhood development: Understanding of the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children.
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education.
