We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Field Installation Engineerto join our team! Remote locations must be within 1 hour of a major airport.
Responsibilities:
Project, Process and Leadership Responsibilities as follows:
- Conduct daily review of project status with team members.
- Set daily goals, review progress, and assist with solving difficult problems.
- Provide recognition and feedback to team members regularly and provide guidance as needed.
- Maintain full awareness of project status, budget, potential project delays, scope changes, etc.
- Communicate any issues or concerns timely to Department Manager and Project Manager
- Participate and provide feedback during design reviews, code reviews, navigation reviews, blocking reviews, bumper reviews, etc.
- Contribute as an engineer on projects to maintain skills and stay up to date.
- Collaborate with Department Manager on opportunities to improves processes.
- Update training materials and lead training sessions and update knowledge base
- Ensure Kaarta, 3D Mapping is collected and-map extracted.
- Ensure Deadlock Detect tool is run for projects prior to the first site visit and throughout the installation process.
- Ensure completion of Change Management Forms.
- BS or BSET in Engineering - disciplines of engineering includes Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic,
- At least 3-5 years experience n automation, preferably AGV's required.
Knowledge/Qualifications
- Demonstrate senior level knowledge of a technical or speciality area.
- Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key tasks as presented above.
- Team leadership and training facilitation skills.
- Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
- Collaborative approach to process improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Prior software experience required (C, C++, MATLAB preferred).
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficiency in CAD required (AutoCAD preferred).
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (may include weekends)
