Job Description:
This position reports to the Labor Market Information Division in Columbia. Incumbent collects, compiles, analyzes, presents and disseminates Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics for the state and sub-state areas in accordance with the Bureau of Labor Statistics guidelines. Serves as lead analyst for the OEWS program and point of contact for BLS. Assists the Research and Planning Administrator in ensuring all program deliverables by prescribed deadlines and maintaining internal policies & procedures manual for reference. Attends conferences and trainings as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and relevant training and experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of methods of research design, data collection, data manipulation, data analysis and presentation of information; knowledge of applicable computer software products; ability to analyze and interpret data using various Statistical and mathematical techniques.
