We are looking for a Full Stack Technical Lead Software Engineer to join (and help build!) our team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Vega Product Suite, a next generation Cloud Native public library experience. We are looking for someone who can help us build our team and design our product. This position reports to a Technical Manager—you will collaborate on design with stake holders and colleagues—while leading innovations across our ecosystem.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
10+ years of total development experience.
5+ years of experience with AWS technologies
4+ years of React or Angular experience.
4+ years of Java development experience.
3+ years of experience in a DevOps like role.
3+ years of experience with an IDL or dependency injection frameworks.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
It would be great if you also had . . .
5+ years OO design and development methodologies.
3+ years with Spring, Spring Boot.
3+ years of experience with Docker.
3+ years or experience with gRPC or Protocol Buffers
What will you be doing in this role?
Designing cloud based architecture and working with other engineers to implement your solution
Influencing stake holders on how to solve gaps in specifications with proposals that complete a product
Identifying key bottlenecks in software, technology, and process by being data driven and seeking outcomes to enhance the team and product

The Vega project is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities in with more directed and personalized interactions. Vega is an AWS based SaaS multi-tenant platform, with multiple cross functional components which combine to deliver a unified, connected data experience across a library’s internal and marketing data, to a customer interaction management suite that is available for use by public libraries worldwide
Hours of Work
Full time, permanent
Hybrid working model 2-3 days/week on site
Must live within a commutable distance to our Ann Arbor, MI office
