As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.


Leading the Loan Trading BAU and production engineering team means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain and enhance the platform that is crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively with teams on a wide range of projects . In addition to enhancing the application and resolving issues, you'll also be responsible for reporting, cloud infrastructure, deployment, maintenance, cyber and controls improvement . Finally, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally -and to grow your career in any direction you choose.


**Job responsibilities**


+ Lead BAU and application support, respond to client queries and maintain a smooth running technology operation for Loan Trading


+ Gather requirements, design and implement application enhancements


+ Provide Infrastructure and application monitoring / support, manage service level agreements and implement automation


+ Investigate application issues, identify root cause (L3 engineer), and ensure timely resolution


+ Manage incident response including, investigation, resolution, communication and escalation as required


+ Provide direction around operational process, tooling, and other business-aligned initiatives


+ Own implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and Cloud infrastructure


+ Ensure application site reliability


+ Manage dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements


+ Manage client and technology stakeholder relationships required for smooth operations of the platform


+ As a lead, p rovides guidance to immediate team of Software Engineers on daily tasks and activities


**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**


+ Strong technical and functional experience in the industry


+ 5-7 years of hands on Java , Spring, SQL experience


+ 2-3 years in an active hands-on application and client support team


+ Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile/DevOps to deliver solutions through CI/CD pipeline


+ Experienced with Log Analytics tools like Splunk, Application Monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana


+ Understanding of container orchestration software like Kubernetes


+ Experience with Site Reliability, Applicant Resiliency , Authentication and Authorization


+ Experienced in building and maintaining C ontinuous Integration and C ontinuous D elivery **(** CI/CD) pipelines


+ Experience leading technology projects, and managing technologists


+ Strong communicator and Quick learner : Able to communicate technical and non-technical information to the business and technical stakeholders


**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**


+ Experience with React , Java script


+ E xperience with AWS and AWS services like RDS, Aurora PostreSQL, Key Management Services (KMS), Data Dog, CloudWatch , Terraform, Cloud Formation


+ Experienced in messaging systems like Kafka, MQ
