Lead Sap Application Developer

The Lead SAP Application Developer will be a recognized expert performing leadership and job functions with limited oversight who can design, develop, test, implement and support new and existing software applications within the SAP environment. You will work closely with business partners and other IT teams to design and build solutions to meet customer needs utilizing standard architectures, frameworks, and procedures. This position will develop and maintain documentation of developed applications. You will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the other SAP developers and provide coaching and guidance to team members. You will be responsible for managing projects and enhancements, including the development and implementation of project plans for mid-size to large projects, risk assessments and contingency plans. You will also assist the Director in developing overall application architectures, frameworks, and technical strategies that define and support the development of applications.

This is a remote position with a target salary of $91,400.00 - $108,035.00 annually commensurate with education and experience.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or business-related fields
• Six (6) years of experience SAP application development
• Experience with SAP ABAP
• Experience with one or more of the following required and with two or more desired: SAP ABAP Web Dynpro, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP Workflow, or SAP Fiori
• In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills Needed:

• Mastery of SAP development technologies
• Advanced skills in executing all phases of the software development life cycle
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult and sometimes complex technical issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision on daily tasks and projects and to coordinate work of others
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new skills
• Ability to:
  • interact with a variety of customers and colleagues in a professional manner
  • understand and support multiple applications across multiple functional areas
  • assess requirements and estimate effort required to develop solutions
  • manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • provide coaching and guidance to others
  • functionally lead other Application Developers
  • oversee day-to-day activities of others
Knowledge of project management principles
