Job Summary:

Responsible for development, management, maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System for Tesco Controls’ Engineering technical departments, in accordance with global industry standards and regulations, under the general direction of Engineering and organizational leadership.

Collaborates with program stakeholders and business partners to identify business needs and improvement opportunities, with a focus on process improvement, data and tools integrity, and operational efficiency. This position will be a catalyst for the development and implementation of Quality initiatives to increase process efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and improve Quality, Consistency, and Efficiency on all Engineering deliverables, resulting in reduction of cost and time.

· Audit, monitor and ensure compliance with Engineering and drafting standards, SOPs, Company policies, and other internal processes.

· Responsible for defining quality objectives/goals, monitoring the progress, and developing a quality dashboard.

· Develop, implement, and monitor processes and tools to track, analyze and improve non-conformances.

· Develop, implement, and monitor an effective change/risk management process.

· Develop and implement a Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) process with a strong focus on Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

· Develop and implement Cost-Out and Operational excellence framework using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.

· Conduct cross-function, customer-focused Continuous Improvement events/workshops and oversee the implementation of resulting improvement initiatives.

· Liaison with the other department managers to address systemic quality issues and to identify process improvements.

· Plan and conduct external audits to improve internal processes and procedures.

· Provide training on Quality initiatives, processes, and procedures.

· Assist with achieving company safety goals.

· Answer technical questions and provide technical guidance as needed.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

· Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality processes and programs.

· Electrical and control system engineering for process industries.

· Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

· Ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with customers and staff.

· Strong written communication skills, suitable for writing reports, evaluations, and plans.

· Ability to perform well in fast paced environments.

Required Education and Experience:

· A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preferably Electrical or Industrial.

· Minimum of 8 years of Quality Engineering / Quality Assurance experience, with exposure to Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

· Experience with development and implementation of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA)

· Minimum 5 years of working experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001, CSIA and other global standards recommended for Quality Management Systems.

· Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team-based approach for effective decision-making.

· A “hands-on” self-starter with considerable managerial / leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to interact with various levels an organization accomplish goals and objectives.

· Proficient in Microsoft applications

Desired Education and Experience:

· Masters in Engineering or certification in Quality Management, Business or Operations Management.

· Demonstrated ability to apply Quality initiatives across Engineering and Manufacturing departments.

Training Requirements:

· Tesco Controls general safety requirement training

Physical Demands:

· Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

· Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

Work Environment:

· Work is primarily performed in an office environment.

· Will be required to visit production/ manufacturing environment.

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
