Design Quality Control Lead

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversight of a Design Contractor Quality Control Program as assigned to verify adherence to quality standards as defined by the Contractor’s Quality Control Program, Contract Documents, and FTA Guidelines/requirements.
• Review the Design Contractor’s Quality Control Records (check prints) for conformance with the Contractor’s Quality Control Plan checking procedures and provide direction and feedback to the designer
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of related work experience is required.
• Understanding of QA/QC processes associated with construction practices on FTA projects.
• Familiar with the three-phase quality program approach.
• Familiarity with FTA QA/QC industry standards, testing, practices, and regulations is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field is desired.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

 Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to perform in a lead capacity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with CADD and Bluebeam preferred.
• Ability to review quality submittals, including, but not limited to resume, plans, and inspection and test plans.
• Ability to work in a cooperative team environment.
