Job Description
Job Summary: Oversee the production process, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Objective: Verify that the control technicians comply with the objectives and specifications of the products, controlling the parameters established according to each item processed in the production plants. They must be orderly and meticulous in the inspection and ordering of records.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior food service industry experience is a plus.
- Must have good written, verbal, and math skills.
- Must be highly detail-orientated.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and ensure completeness of HACCP documents – daily- provide to QA supervisor for final review and signature.
- Collect and review all QACP – ensure completeness and sign.
- File documents (HACCP, RECEIVING AND PP SYSTEM.)
- Prepare any posters required to alert employees of various directives as needed.
- Aid in the training of employees to perform Direct Observations.
- Change Specification in QA Books
- Review and collect Silos reports Bldg. A &C
- Line QA Technician should be able to cover production lines when required.
- Search for samples required for microbiology.
- Basic computer PP system, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Work as a team with control technicians
Education/Experience:
- College coursework or an associate degree in food
- A degree in Science, Biology, or Chemistry is desired but not required.
Literacy:
- Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
- and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving
- Mechanical parts, and toxic or caustic chemicals
- The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
- Hot or cold temperatures
- The noise level in the work environment is loud
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability
- to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands.
- Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
