As the Lead Project Manager –You will provide project management oversight for the execution of an advanced nuclear plant designs and licensing, in support of a commercial project. You will work collaboratively with the Project Directors and Product Line Leaders to define requirements and deliver high quality outcomes for a project. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leads advanced nuclear project execution to include execution of daily, weekly and monthly progress reporting rhythms, acting as a driver to solves specific cross functional issues as they develop within a project.
- Communicates project requirements and specifications effectively to the project team.
- Partners with commercial team to define scope and negotiate effective project contracts.
- Plans activities across engineering functions to fulfill project requirements.
- Monitors project cost and schedule progress related to design efforts and takes actions to address variances.
- Rapidly addresses project issues while mitigating project risks.
- Ensures project quality and adherence to standards and requirements.
- Ensures customer invoicing is accurate and timely.
- Has working knowledge of project management best practices.
- Works to build consensus, influences a matrixed project team and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 3 years of Project Management or related leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Eligibility Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%)
Desired Characteristics:
- PMP Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other STEM discipline
- Master’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years managing projects
- Nuclear power industry experience, especially in licensing
- Knowledge of international nuclear export control regulations
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers, and team members
- Ability to distill complex information and focus on critical priorities
- Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on best available information
- Experience working and influencing in a matrixed environment
- Well-developed planning and organizational skills
The salary range for this position is $87K-$145K. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
