Humana's HR organization is looking to the future of employee experience, and we need someone who can help lead us there. The HR Associate Experience Product Team (AX Products) is looking for a Lead Product Manager to guide our Grow Journey. Our Grow Journey is a "product line" caring for the experience of Learning and Development at Humana. The primary purpose of this role is to discover and deliver transformative, technology-powered solutions that make our Grow Journey more automated, efficient, and effective.

The Lead Product Manager - Grow Journey is an existing role being backfilled. This is a standard 40-hour-per-week job, understood to be fully remote. If you're in the Louisville, Kentucky, area or near any of our main office locations, you may utilize shared office space as much as you need.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Manager for the end-to-end Grow journey (see the last bullet, requires sometimes playing Product Owner role)

  • Be the hub that connects all various business teams and stakeholders that deliver the Grow experience

  • Use data and research to discover opportunities, make strategic decisions, prove delivered value, and make the case for further investment

  • Own responsibility for the delivery of incremental business and customer value; being a constant voice of the customer but highly disciplined about delivering business value

  • Manage a high level backlog of initiatives, epics, and features that will deliver this value

  • Manage and develop a multi-year roadmap in partnership with our Learning business team of big problems to solve and outcomes to deliver from the backlog

  • Lead or support Agile teams within our SAFe-like framework

  • Inspire and motivate Agile teammates, stakeholders, and leadership through engaging collaboration, communication, presentations, and work culture

  • Wear many hats, and be flexible! This role may look more like a typical Product Manager for a season, and may play more of a product owner role depending on what work is prioritized by our organization. Our focus is on finding and delivering value, and the person in this role should be willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary (within an appropriate work-life balance, of course)

Use your skills to make an impact

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years' experience as Product Manager or product owner

  • Experience delivering products on digital platforms (testing, delivering requirements, etc.)

  • Proven experience creating and managing product roadmaps and epic-level backlogs

  • Experience leading Agile teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (particularly for crisp, inspiring, and effective presentations to leadership and stakeholders)

  • Ability to draw themes from customer research and data to bring clarity to problem statements and product strategy

  • Co-creation mindset, excellent collaboration skills

  • Patience, comfort with ambiguity and change

  • If selected for hire within a Humana office location, this role would be hybrid.

Desired skills (nice to have)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 10+ years' experience in product work (as product owner, Product Manager, agile delivery, design, etc.)

  • Deep experience with the platforms Humana uses for HR, most importantly the Cornerstone OnDemand LMS and deploying Workday functionality like CareerHub

  • Experience deploying learning technology, experience with enterprise learning teams, or formal training in adult learning

  • Relevant product owner, product management, or Scrum certification

  • Experience delivering non-software products such as services, experiences, events, and physical goods

  • Experience with the "double diamond" design methodology, Service Design, Human-centered Design or other design disciplines

Work-At-Home Requirements:

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$123,800 - $170,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
