Academic Pathways Cooperative Preschool invites you to join our team as a Program Director and Lead Teacher for our 3-year-old, and 4-year-old programs. You'll plan our play-based learning curriculum alongside a supportive parent-driven board and a dedicated network of families.
Role Overview:
- Lead students through engaging play-based learning experiences, nurturing their growth and development.
- Take charge of curriculum planning and preparation, ensuring an enriching educational experience.
- Foster open communication with families to share student progress and maintain strong partnerships.
- Collaborate with our parent-led board to design innovative classroom activities and initiatives.
- Support community outreach events and preschool social and fundraising activities, strengthening our ties with the broader community.
- Uphold licensing requirements and maintain accurate records for a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the school's overall success.
Qualifications:
- Meet educational and experiential standards outlined by LARA for program directors.
- Demonstrate documented experience in a preschool classroom setting.
- Possess a deep understanding of play-based curriculum methodologies.
- Exhibit patience, supportiveness, and enthusiasm in facilitating the learning process.
- Showcase exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in adapting to evolving needs.
