We offer employment during our "pool season" that stretches from March to December although some of our clients do require year-round services. Pool Scouts is looking for a Lead Pool Technician with a natural work ethic, and a positive/flexible attitude. Our lead technician will need to demonstrate the ability to recognize and solve moderate pool related problems that arise in the field. Oversee the procedural management of our Pool Technicians and work closely with our office team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- 60-70% of time will be spent on individual production

- 30-40% team leadership and operational management duties
- Maintain cleaning equipment and chemical stock levels in vehicles and office according to monthly budget
- Visiting job sites to quote repairs and providing accurate information to office manager for proposals
- Assess performance and quality standards of junior technicians and coach them on areas of improvement
- Evaluate customer complaints and find resolutions
- Report to office manager any failures and suggest solutions
- Participate in new technician and helper hiring process
- Train and evaluate new technicians
- Perform morning huddles with technicians
- Perform monthly equipment check with technicians
- Provide a monthly evaluation report on all technicians, equipment and vehicles
- Enforce the rules and standards daily
- Report no-shows, tardies and call-ins to the office manager
- Keep office, shed and vehicles clean and organized
- Showcase professionalism, positive leadership and integrity
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Be willing to submit to a nationwide background check.
- Must be available to work 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with some potential weekend work.
- Must have a valid driver's license without restrictions (you must have a license to operate our company vehicles, so this is non-optional).
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
- Ability to walk for long periods of time in extreme outdoor temperatures.
- Must be prepared to work in the rain.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in various electronic devices and applications for effective communication/information sharing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior pool experience is required.
Pay is hourly and is $22/hour. Additional bonus opportunities available periodically through the season.
