Position Summary

Performs technical and clerical duties of an MRI technologist in Imaging Services. Ability to work with the MRI Safety practices. Coordinate MRI section to assure optimal quality services. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center and MHS. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of OCMMC and MHS. The employee shall support Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center's strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.  The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient's Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and Memorial Care initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Consistently applies infection control policies/practices. 
• Meets population/age specific competencies per unit specific addendum.
• Attends department specific education/training, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Department specific performance improvement project.
• Participation in Gallup Impact Meeting and improved business outcomes.        
• Involves oneself as an Individual and team member in unit preparation of EPIC.
• Ability to perform all MRI exams and protocols
• Maintains open and collaborative working relationships with staff and physicians in order to maintain a pleasant work environment and a professional image of Imaging Services.
• Ability to properly and efficiently manage patient flow and exams independently.
• Uses computer systems effectively and accurately including PACS.
• Responsible for maintaining all regulatory requirements within the department.
• Lead Technologist Functions
• Ability to be at work and be on time.
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
• Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Minimum one year MRI technologist supervisory experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• ARRT Certification preferred.
• ARRT (MR) Certification preferred.
• IV Contrast Certification preferred.
• BCLS (CPR for Health Care Provider) required.
