Lawrence General Hospital is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Linens Associate position within the Supply Chain Materials Management Department.
Job Discription
We are looking for the perfect candidate to join our Linen Associates team. The candidate should have a pleasant personality as they are the first point of contact for the hospital, multi-task such as greeting and screening patients/visitors, answering our switchboard, and directing to appropriate units/departments. This is a part-time weekend role. Saturdays and Sundays 6am-2:30pm.
Linen Associates responsibilities include:
- Loading and exchanging linen carts throughout the hospital.
- Prioritize order of linen distribution by units.
- Follow a daily priority schedule.
- Clear the soiled linen chute by placing the bags in an empty cart.
- Organize linen stations.
- Receive daily linen deliveries and ensure all expected linens arrived.
- Notify management of non-compliant deliveries.
- Lift 10lbs + soiled linen bags.
- Push 20lbs+ linen carts.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Linen Associate or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with linen equipment (e.g., laundry tubs and linen carts).
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- High school degree required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekends only
