Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient operations
- Assist with food service during peak times or special events
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry as a cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and knife skills
- Familiarity with dietary department regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in menu planning and catering is a plus
