About The Role: This multifaceted position involves implementing individualized care plans, providing guidance and support to program staff, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Play a crucial role in the onboarding process by assisting in the training of new staff members and helping them become valuable contributors to the program. Actively participate in developing and organizing program activities and events, crafting engaging and therapeutic experiences. Collaboration with external agencies, families, and caregivers remains essential to align these activities with participants' goals and preferences.
Who You Are: This role requires a combination of strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, creative program design, a commitment to health and safety, and a willingness to support the training and integration of new team members, ultimately enhancing the quality of services provided to adults with disabilities.
Compensation: Starting at $17.85/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day (Full Time)
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide all support staff duties to individuals as defined in the individuals ISP (Individual Support Plan). Implement plans and/or behavior support as outlined by the immediate supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
2. Facilitate monthly committee meetings. Coordinate, develop and lead group lead activities, outings, and events. Ensure community activities occur as planned. Coordinate supplies as needed.
3. Create, organize, and maintain program and goal related materials (e.g., token boards, PEC's, visual schedules, etc.). Maintain field folders with current information and prepare new client materials.
4. Assist in creating and maintaining one page description for all persons through assessing participants' strengths, needs, and goals.
5. Provide new hire training utilizing the Job Coach New Hire Trainer. Contribute to program development and improvement efforts through participation in
meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
6. Identifies and reports to the immediate/assigned case manager any Job Coach related concerns, issues, or problems which may arise.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Actively participate in professional development activities to enhance personal and
professional growth.
2. Reports directly to the Program Director and performs additional duties as requested by the Program Director.
3. Oversee and provide daily maintenance to program site social media outlets.
4. Assist with administrative tasks as delegated by management. Complete all paperwork thoroughly, correctly and on a timely basis.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in the Job Coach position.
- No formal written disciplinary actions within 6 months of date of hire.
- Strong understanding of different developmental disabilities and the ability to tailor support strategies accordingly.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership to fellow Job Coaches.
- Proficiency in documenting participant progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex employment-related issues.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (as required).
- Knowledge and adherence to company policies, ABA principles, Pro-Act, PCT practices, and mandated reporting duties.
What's Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Be between the ages of 25 - 70 with a Valid Drivers License, or 23+ with a clean record
- Valid California (CA) driver's license and DMV printout (good Driving record)
- Ability to successfully clear Live Scan/background check. **reimbursement after probation period**
- Must have a TB test clearance
