We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Janitor Lead at a high-end winery.
As a Janitor Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the janitorial operations and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are upheld. You will lead a team of janitors, assign tasks, and provide guidance to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for the guests and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain the cleanliness of the winery's public areas, including tasting rooms, restrooms, and event spaces.
- Train new janitorial staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
- Perform regular inspections of the winery's public areas, restrooms, event spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and address any maintenance issues.
- Maintains account knowledge and assures that all absent employees are covered.
- Assumes responsibility for the quality of work performed by each controller.
- Verifies that work is performed up to quality standards.
- Advise the Manager of any problems and complaints concerning heavy work.
- Has a complete understanding of the quality standard agreed upon with the customer.
- Performs all scheduled formal quality control inspections.
- Any problem discovered during inspections should be taken care of immediately, either personally or by having the controller resolve the matter that evening.
- Spot-check accounts as directed by the Manager.
- Administers all training programs per company policies and procedures.
- Maintains regular positive contact with each employee as determined by your manager.
- Assures all employees have the proper supplies and equipment.
- Makes sure employees are aware of and follow the Company Handbook and the Employee General Policies.
- Attends the company and/or supervisor meetings.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must possess a valid, current driver's license.
Language Skills:Must be able to speak and understand English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be mechanically inclined regarding equipment and facilities maintenance and repair.
