Job description

At Kiddie Time Childcare Center, we prioritize the significance of family and fostering the personal and professional growth of our staff. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive training that equips our teachers with the skills they need to excel in their roles. Recognizing the crucial nature of early childcare education, we hold our teachers in high regard for the important impact they have on the lives of the children in our centers. Our management team is committed to offering support and guidance to help you navigate and manage stress and anxiety. Additionally, we believe in self-care and provide at least 5 Mental Health days per year to ensure your well-being. Our goal is to cultivate a supportive environment where you can thrive while receiving understanding and assistance along the way.

As an incentive for Lead teachers, we are currently offering a sign-on bonus of $1,000.00 (payable after successful employment for a minimum of 90 days). We are seeking passionate, enthusiastic teachers at all experience levels who love to engage children through activities such as singing, dancing, storytelling, and fostering their growth.

At Kiddie Time, as a Teacher, you will play a vital role in facilitating the exploration, discovery, and understanding of the world for young minds. Our center holds a prestigious 5-star accreditation through the Michigan Great Start to Quality program, guaranteeing a top-notch educational child care experience. Our programs are designed to cater to children from infancy through elementary school age, offering a comprehensive and enriching curriculum.

Your responsibilities as a Teacher at Kiddie Time are as follows:

  • Follow the Highscope curriculum and programming by implementing approved lesson plans and adhering to daily classroom schedules.
  • Continuously assess and respond to the developmental needs of each child under your care.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with parents, including conducting parent-teacher conferences on an annual basis.
  • Serve as a team player and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies, as well as local, state, and national regulations related to children's health, safety, and overall care.
  • Create and maintain an inviting and well-maintained classroom environment that encourages children's creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.

These responsibilities are vital in promoting a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for the children in our care.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • CDA in Infant-Toddler (minimum CDA required) or Associate's or higher in Early Childhood Education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coachable, competent, and confident.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community.
  • Willingness to assist with other job functions as needed.

We take pride in offering a range of benefits to our staff members at Kiddie Time Childcare Center. These include:

  • Fun staff outings, holiday parties, and catered dinners, fostering a vibrant and enjoyable work environment.
  • Monthly staff appreciation days, complete with complimentary lunch, to show our gratitude for your hard work and dedication.
  • Free staff gear, including shirts, jackets, and cups, allowing you to proudly represent our center.
  • Weekly stocked complimentary snacks and drinks, ensuring you have access to refreshments throughout the day. Additionally, our staff break room features two massage chairs for relaxation and stress relief.
  • Full monthly coverage for Teledoc medical services, providing convenient and accessible healthcare for all employees.
  • Paid continuing education opportunities, enabling you to further enhance your professional growth and development.
  • A supportive and encouraging work environment, where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Paid CPR and first aid training to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills to provide a safe environment for the children in your care.
  • The option to participate in an IRA contribution plan, allowing you to save for retirement.
  • Free education with support to complete your CDA (Child Development Associate) degree, opening doors for further career advancement and opportunities.
  • Paid holiday and vacation time to prioritize quality family moments and personal well-being.
  • Free childcare, subject to classroom availability, easing the burden of childcare costs for our staff members.
  • Room for advancement within our growing company, providing the potential for career growth and professional development.

These benefits are designed to support and enhance your overall experience as a valued member of our team.
